HUON APPOINTS NEW GM

THE Huon Valley Council has appointed a new general manager following a nationwide recruitment process that attracted 85 applications.

Jason Browne will start in the job on September 21, following previous management roles with TasWater and Glenorchy City Council and experience in other positions in the energy, banking and private sectors.

“I am honoured to be joining the Huon Valley Council team and I look forward to continuing to partner with the community on shaping the future of this wonderful region so that its residents, businesses and visitors can enjoy all that the region offers,’’ he said.
