Arts festival returns with a bang
JUNCTION Arts festival is back and promising its 10th anniversary event will be worth the wait.
Festival executive producer Frith Mabin said there was something for everyone who wanted to dip their toe or get the full Junction experience.
“Junction’s 10-year anniversary has been two years in the making after it was postponed in 2020 and we are completely thrilled to put on the 10th anniversary festival,” she said.
The festival will run from Wednesday until Sunday, taking over Prince’s Square and venues across Launceston.
“There’s great music, incredible food and wine, shows for children and families, a celebration of Tasmanian artists and their work,” she said.
The opening night will feature the Sunset Ceremony, with First Nation artists and community members providing a special performance of song, dance and spoken word. The MUSTER collaboration between Tasdance and Junction will also be a highlight.
