Charity calls to help pets

ST VINCENT de Paul Society Tasmania has put the call out for donations of pet food, to help animal owners doing it tough to support their companions.

The charity said often those who needed help also owned animals they were struggling to feed.

It said for many in need, pets were their only companion, and losing them could leave them isolated.

Anyone interested in donating dry pet food can drop items off at a local Vinnies hub or office.
