RIGHT THE WRONG

SURELY the additional information presented in parliament this week in relation to the Sue Neill-Fraser case can no longer be ignored by the AttorneyGeneral. Legal luminaries all around the country have for many years known this was an unsafe conviction and it is time someone in government grew a spine and righted this wrong.

There are simply too many QCs, former judges and legal experts sharing this opinion for it to be ignored. Sure, it will embarrass the police, the DPP and politicians on both sides but a woman has been wrongly jailed for over 12 years, for God’s sake.

I hope the Treasurer has allowed for many millions of dollars in compensation in next year’s budget.
