I LIVE at Westbury and I don’t want Elise Archer’s prison. Which apparently makes me a NIMBY. The minister has said that the prison site must have an Expression of Interest (EOI), which Marneys Hill Reserve does not have. Ms Archer said the site must be flat. Marneys Hill is a hill. Ms Archer said that the prison is needed for families of the prisoners to visit easily. The biggest local community is in Launceston, so the prison should be as close as possible to Launceston, which is in the seat of Bass. Home to Premier Peter Gutwein, minister Michael Ferguson, minister Sarah Courtney, minister Guy Barnett. Tell me again, who is a NIMBY?
