BUSINESS MUMS REAP REWARDS

- JARROD LAWLER

FOUR Tasmanian women excelling in the juggling act of raising kids and achieving a successful business career have been shortlisted for major national awards.

Tassie mothers Angela Revell, Micheline Andrews, Claire Fielding and Stephanie Trethewey have all been named finalists in the 2021 AusMumpreneur Awards.

The awards, presented by The Women’s Business School, celebrate and recognise Australian mums in business achieving outstanding success.

Former TV reporter Stephanie Trethewey has been named a finalist in two categories, Regional Business Award and Women’s Champion Award.

Mrs Trethewey is the founder and co-host of the Motherland Australia podcast, which shares the stories of motherhood told by rural women across the country.

“Being a mum, a lot of your workload is invisible and you often feel undervalued and my podcast is a way to combine my commitment as a mum with my skills as a journalist to champion rural motherhood,” Mrs Trethewey said.

Angela Revell is the co-founder of business management and IT support service Revellation, and said she was proud of the work her and the other finalists were doing. Winners will be announced on September 8.
