LENNON ON A NEW MISSION
A LIBERAL candidate at the recent state election who was previously chief executive of the RACT has been chosen to lead a key Hobart social services organisation.
Harvey Lennon was unveiled on Friday as the new chief executive of Hobart City Mission and will take over from the long-serving John Stubley, who is stepping down from the role he has held since 2013.
Mr Lennon was on the boards of Colony 47 from 2004-2016 and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra since 2017 and most recently worked as an adviser to Finance Minister Michael Ferguson.
“Hobart City Mission has a long and proud history of supporting our community and I am excited to be joining their team,” he said.
Hobart City Mission said it had seen significant growth under Mr Stubley’s leadership, now employing 175 staff and supported by more than 550 active volunteers.
