TICKET UP TO SCRATCH
AN ULVERSTONE mum is celebrating after winning the top prize in a scratchie she bought after school drop-off on Wednesday morning.
The woman won $10,000 after trying her luck at a $5 “perfect gift” ticket she bought at East Devonport Newsagency & Lotto.
“I went home and made myself a cup of coffee and sat down to scratch them,” she said.
“When I saw I’d won the top prize on this ticket, I couldn’t believe it.
“I thought, ‘this can’t be right’.
“I thought it had to be a fake, or a dud!
“I even questioned if it was a joke ticket, but it’s not.”
The woman said she planned to use the cash to treat her children and work on some upgrades around the house.
