Cloudy vision for West Coast walk option

-

I’VE done three trips to the Tyndalls [Range] and on each occasion had to retreat from the range with zero visibility in wild winds and rain.

More recently, friends have completed satisfying walks to the area in good weather because they carefully studied the forecasts and timed their trips accordingly.

For interstate walkers booking a trip several months in advance, that precaution is not possible.

In committing millions of taxpayer dollars to the development of huts and tracks on this exposed range, the government appears not to have done the most basic of homework.
