Arts focus in Taroona upgrade
A MULTIMILLION-DOLLAR redevelopment of a prominent greater Hobart school has been unveiled, providing new music and drama facilities and other upgrades.
The $5.6m refurbishment of Taroona High School would further enhance the school’s reputation for excellence in the arts, Education Minister Sarah Courtney said.
“The new music facilities have been designed to enhance collaboration and creativity in learning design, with the renovated general learning areas providing a high quality, contemporary and flexible environment for learners,” she said.
The redevelopment was designed by Tasmanian business Tim Penny Architecture and Interiors, and built by Vos Construction and Joinery.
