Children in offensive material
A CAMBRIDGE man has pleaded guilty to possessing and accessing child exploitation material, and firearms charges.
Ray McCallum, 74, pleaded guilty in the Hobart Magistrates Court this week to one count of possessing child exploitation material and one count of accessing child exploitation material.
McCallum also pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm when not the holder of a firearm licence of the appropriate category, possessing ammunition when not the holder of the appropriate firearm licence, and failing to take all precautions to ensure the safekeeping of firearm and ammunition.
He was charged in January this year, with the offending taking place at Cambridge, court documents show.
Magistrate Jackie Hartnett committed McCallum to be sentenced over the child exploitation material charges at the Supreme Court of Tasmania on October 11.
