TAKE A WALK
THE proposed three day “iconic” Tyndall Range walk would not go ahead without public money propping it up. No business person would consider investing in this walk, given the location gets more rainy than clear days. And then there is the long, slow drive to get to the start of the walk from Hobart or Launceston. The alternative is to offer a choice of day walks, of which the area has many, using existing accommodation options in Queenstown. It is worth noting some who have done the Three Capes Track would find West Coast walking more challenging. Catharine Errey
