May boost for Demons

MELBOURNE is unlikely to tinker with its line-up for the Grand Final, and key defender Steven May is considered a certain starter.

The Demons made only one change for their preliminary final win over Geelong last Friday night when Michael Hibberd replaced the injured Joel Smith (hamstring).

Hibberd kept his seven Cats opponents goalless and restricted them to just six disposals across 101 minutes, a performance which is expected to seal his spot.

Former Melbourne captain Nathan Jones, an emergency for the preliminary final, arrived back in Melbourne on Saturday night to be with his wife Jerri ahead of the birth of their twins, ruling him out.
