Bunnings ‘tooled up’ for new national push
HARDWARE giant Bunnings has unveiled the new name for its recently acquired Adelaide Tools business ahead of plans for national expansion.
The business has been named Tool Kit Depot and Western Australia will be the first market it expands to outside of South Australia.
“We’re really excited about our plans for the future of the business under the new name, Tool Kit Depot,” Bunnings managing director Mike Schneider said.
He said the potential was to have as many as 75 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
Mr Schneider, pictured, said it made sense in the current environment and given WA’s economic strength – as well as its Covid-free status – to first launch Tool Kit Depot in that state. An expansion to the east coast was next on the cards.
Eventually, Adelaide Tools’ stores in South Australia will also be rebranded Tool Kit Depot.
