OODLES OF ORDERS FOR TOP RESTAURANT

A NOODLE eatery in North Hobart has been named the top Uber Eats restaurant in Tasmania’s capital.

Uber Eats this week revealed which restaurants in Hobart have had the highest order numbers since July and Noodle House in Elizabeth St came out on top.

Cuong Nguyen from Noodle House said his restaurant was one of the first to sign up to Uber Eats when it came to Hobart three years ago. He said Noodle House filled about 200 Uber Eats orders a week.

“But it is not about the quantity of meals but the quality. We have a meal ready three minutes after it is ordered. It is very fast and still hot and fresh when delivered,” he said.

The top 10 restaurants on Uber Eats in Hobart since July are: Noodle House, Burger Haus (North), Solo Pasta and Pizza, Brown Burgers, The Standard, Burger Haus (Eastlands), Saigon Express Restaurant, Medici, Amici and Tassie Kebab

More than 30 of Hobart’s most popular eateries signed up to the Uber Eats App when the food delivery service was launched. That number has grown to 110 eateries in Hobart and another 99 in Launceston.

However, Uber Eats is not yet available in either Devonport or Burnie.

“There are no plans – at this moment – to expand our offering further across Tasmania,” an Uber spokesman said.
