Kill hearing adjourned

THE German national accused of the murder of a Launceston woman on Boxing Day has had his matter adjourned in court.

Tobias Pick, 27, appeared via videolink from Risdon Prison in the Launceston Supreme Court on Friday.

Pick has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 49-year-old Jingai Zhang in her Wellington St home on December 26 last year.

Defence counsel Evan Hughes sought to have the matter adjourned until October 15 to finalise the application for preliminary proceedings. The adjournment was not opposed.
