QUICK SNAP EARNS MUM FINALS SHOT

- JARROD LAWLER

A HOBART mother has made the finals of a national photo competition for a candid snap that she took of her young daughter while walking along Kingston Beach.

Bonnet Hill resident Kate Wulf has been listed as a finalist in the Nextdoor Love Your Neighbourhood competition, which asked entrants to submit a photo showcasing what their neighbourhood means to them.

Ms Wulf said her snap, “Running with Rainbows,’ was a candid shot she took on her phone while walking her dogs.

“We’ve got two dogs so my daughter Ayla and I were taking them for a walk along the doggie beach in Kingston and Ayla was chasing the dogs and so I just took a quick snap and it turned out to be a great photo,” she said.

Competition judge Ante Badzim, said the #LoveYourNeighbourhood competition was an opportunity to focus on the finer details overlooked in neighbourhoods across the country.

The winner will be announced on September 23.
