Highway closes after landslides
MAJOR landslides have forced the closure of part of the Zeehan Highway in the state’s West.
The highway is closed between Anthony Link Rd and the Lyell Highway turn-off to Strahan.
The road is expected to be closed for several days.
Motorists travelling between Burnie and Queenstown will need to travel through Zeehan and Strahan.
The detour will add about an extra hour to the journey.
The Zeehan Highway was also closed at Yolande River Bridge last Sunday due to a fallen tree and landslide.
