CANCELLATION PERSPECTIVE

WHILE cancellation of the Hobart Christmas Pageant is sad, it was an intelligent and compassionate decision. Given that no Covid-19 vaccine has yet been approved for children under 12, great care needs to be taken with large events oriented to this age group.

However, there are many aspects of Christmas that have not been cancelled. Families will still gather for Christmas dinner. People will still give gifts to friends and family. Churches will still hold services, face-to-face or online.

Those of us who wish to decorate our homes will still do so. Let’s keep it in perspective.
