Dope deal charges

A 22-YEAR-OLD woman and 35-year-old man have appeared briefly in court over major cannabis trafficking allegations.

Isobel Maree Healey and Jackson Thomas Parker appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Michael Daly on Tuesday over one count each of allegedly trafficking in a controlled substance.

Both charges were classified as major offences.

Police alleged the co-accused pair cultivated cannabis at a residence in New Town with the intention of selling the controlled plant or its related products.
