SHORT MEMORIES
So, the French have withdrawn their ambassador to Australia because they are upset at us cancelling the contract to build submarines for the Australian forces (irrespective of delivery being drawn out and over budget).
Those who are chucking a hissy-fit need to take a little trip to VillersBretonneux
and visit the graves of the 10,773 Australian soldiers who gave themselves to protect the French.
And what about those Diggers who lost their lives in the Battle of Normandy in WWII?
I fear the French have short memories.
I am deeply upset that they place more value on a $90bn contract than those Australians who gave their lives for France’s liberty.
