DUBIOUS WISDOM OF DEAL

-

Australia has terminated the $90bn conventional submarine deal with France while announcing a nine nuclear sub deal with the US and UK costing not less than $230bn

Add another 40 per cent to this figure plus biannual servicing at nearer $500m each.

The joke is these subs will take 10 years to bring online then be out of date given another 20 years service.

That’s 2052 we need more subs built

by then so this becomes a never ending story of profits in war, not unlike Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan as we buy the steel and technology from the US.

China’s option is ignore this confrontation, shut off trade to parts of the Pacific and speed up the seven silk roads of trade to Europe, Africa, Southern Asia and Russia with no need for ocean shipping.

Maybe even New Zealand will use these silk roads.

Certainly Russia can use the Bam rail then ship to Canada and Mexico.

The USA is desperate to replace the profits of war made out of the Middle East. By 2032 many navies will have seek, monitor and destroy small

underwater non-human drones. China will have deep water docking modules 200-300m below the surface where crew replacement and supplies will be supplied by submerged hauler systems and friendly countries.
