Promise on Ashley probe
PREMIER Peter Gutwein has promised to make public the terms of reference for an independent inquiry into claims made by a former worker at the Ashley Youth Detention Centre.
The woman at the centre of the claims made complaints around sexual harassment during her time at the centre, but after a 22month investigation her complaint was rejected.
“The terms of reference will both look at the process of the investigation … also it’s been broadened to cover any other complaint that Alysha may have made … including assault or bullying or sexual harassment,” Mr Gutwein said. He said advice would be taken before the outcome was released to the public.
