THE partners of Melbourne players kept a close eye on Max Gawn’s pregnant wife Jessica after she experienced symptoms at half time in the grand final on Saturday night.

The girls joked that they feared the excitement could send her into labour.

Jessica confirmed she did have to call their obstetrician at half time over a few symptoms, which have now settled. The Dee’s captain and Jessica spoke after the match, discussing the fact that it was a lot to take in while 35 weeks pregnant.
