SHOWING GRATITUDE
The compulsory vaccination of medical and nursing staff in public hospitals in Tasmania is not new.
For goodness sake, it is there to protect both the staff members and their patients.
In 1966 when I started nursing at the RHH it was mandatory to be vaccinated against TB, as well as having an annual X-ray.
Later, as hepatitis B became more prevalent one had to also be vaccinated in order to work.
Let’s be grateful that any vaccine exists. And take it up as fast as possible. Jane Hall
