Bont in the clear for bump
WESTERN Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli has been cleared by the match review officer for his bump on Melbourne star Clayton Oliver in the grand final.
The Bulldogs star caught Oliver with a bump at the 11minute mark of the second quarter when the Demons midfielder had his head over the ball with Bontempelli and Tom Liberatore pursuing him.
Oliver immediately clutched his head and stayed down for a short moment as trainers rushed to him. But Oliver was able to play out the game and finished with 33 possessions.
Bontempelli was looming as the best player on the ground, kicking three goals, before the Demons blew the Bulldogs away in the second half.
