Kelly back at Geelong

-

RETURNING “Geelong person” James Kelly says he will have no issues working under Chris Scott again in 2022.

A longstanding love of the Cats led James Kelly to reach out to Geelong first in the hope of landing an assistant coaching job before three openings came.

Kelly was delisted by the Cats in 2015, before going on to play at Essendon. He said he would have no issues working with head coach Scott again.

“Scotty was one person that I have worked with that I learnt an enormous amount from, he is a good person and a good coach,” Kelly said.

The three-time premiership Geelong midfielder made the first move a few weeks ago before the Cats crashed out of the finals and assistant coaches Matthew Knights, Corey Enright and Matthew Scarlett moved on.
