Time apart dogs owners

-

IT’S long been known that dogs are man’s best friend, but a new study has found we are desperate to spend even more time with our four-legged friends.

As many as one in four dog owners have said they are struggling to spend as much quality time with their pet as they would like.

A poll of 2000 dog owners in the UK found those who brought home a puppy during lockdown felt this most strongly.

Nearly half of respondents said with lockdowns lifting, they regretted missing out on so much of their dog’s life, with 27 per cent of people saying they would purposely schedule annual leave just to spend time with their pet.

Dogs for Good chief executive Peter Gorbing encouraged people to set aside one-on-one time with pets.

“When you’re in need of some down time this October, spend it with your fourlegged companion,” he said.
