TRAVEL RULES

-

Public Health advises that travellers to Tasmania, including returning residents, need to provide their contact and travel details before entering the state to help manage the risk of Covid-19 at Tasmania’s borders. Tasmania’s border entry conditions depend on where each traveller has spent time prior to their day of arrival. Travellers who have spent time in a high-risk area within Australia in the 14 days before arriving in Tasmania are not permitted to enter, unless approved as an essential traveller. If approved to enter Tasmania, quarantine will be required in a government-managed quarantine facility (if the traveller has been to a level 1 area or premises) or a suitable premises (if the traveller has only been to a level 2 area or premises).

The Public Health website www.corona virus.tas.gov.au provides up-to-date details on determining which areas are hot spots.
