Charges for young teen
A 13-YEAR-old boy has been charged by Tasmania Police over a string of crimes in Launceston on Wednesday.
The teen, allegedly armed with a knife, allegedly stole property and threatened three people on separate occasions throughout the afternoon.
He is accused of robbing a youth in Newnham at 1pm and attempting to carjack a man in North Launceston at 6pm before threatening another woman in a parked vehicle at Invermay just minutes later.
Police arrested the teen about 6.15pm. He was bailed to appear before the Youth Justice Court at a later date.
