PROBE INTO NEW TOWN BLAZE
POLICE and the Tasmania Fire Service are investigating a blaze that caused nearly half a million dollars worth of damage to a New Town unit on Thursday.
Fire crews from Hobart, Clarence and Glenorchy were called to the Roope St address at 12.23pm and put out the blaze in less than 10 minutes.
Initial investigations deemed the fire accidental and about $450,000 worth of damage was caused.
One person received medical treatment by paramedics at the scene.
