New march on climate

SCHOOL students will again march through the streets of Hobart, with a school climate strike to be held next Friday.

At the most recent climate strikes, students were restricted to rallies at Parliament Lawns, with Covid precautions preventing marches.

The protest will begin at the Hobart Regatta Grounds, before students travel through the Macquarie Point development area to the Hobart waterfront, ending the march at Parliament Lawns.

Parts of several streets will be closed, including Morrison St, Argyle St and Gladstone St. The march will begin at noon.
