WAITING FOR GOD

ELLA Haddad, MP, is another voice in the wilderness with her Talking Point (October 8). And she is so right in saying, “the justice system must be responsive to these root causes of crime such as poverty, disadvantage, trauma and abuse”, and until they are addressed “we will not see crime rates begin to go down”. How many more generations of Tasmanians must end up disadvantaged because of the lack of courage in government and departments to acknowledge God and the spiritual aspect of life as the missing links in addressing root causes of crime, poverty, disadvantage, childhood trauma and abuse?
