FORESTS FAILURE

WHY is it that while Bryan Hayes, head of Forico, writes enthusiastically about the money that grows in trees, it seems no timber grows in the trees for the building industry (“Value to be added by measuring the worth of Tassie forests,” Mercury, October 8)?
