OVERHAUL OF KEY CBD STREETS

FEWER parking spots, extended peak-hour clearways, a new set of lights and cycling infrastructure are included in plans for a major overhaul of Hobart CBD’s busiest roads.

The revamp for Davey and Macquarie streets is funded as part of the City Deal and includes a new public transport transit lane, extended turning lanes and a new drop-off area for St Michael’s Collegiate school as the government aims to ease traffic congestion and improve safety.
