Cats Blake double take

- TOBY PRIME

GEELONG is considering recruiting former defender Blake Schlensog, 12 months after delisting him.

The 199cm 21-year-old is available as a delisted free agent after a huge WAFL season with South Fremantle.

Schlensog’s manager, Tim Hazell, said Geelong and Richmond have shown interest.

“He’s certainly one of the better key defenders outside of the AFL,” Hazell said.

“(He) has really matured, worked on his game and is really deserving of another opportunity at AFL level.”

Back-up midfielder Charlie Constable will stay at Geelong after offers dried up.
