ROCKY ROUND THE CLOCK WITH MIDNIGHT HALLOWEEN SHOW

- ANNIE McCANN

A BIZARRE tale about Transylvanian spookazoids is about to get even more twisted as an extra showing of the musical is planned for midnight on Halloween.

The fiercely talented Deone Zanotto, who plays the provocative Magenta in the John X Presents production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, was thrilled to be performing the surprise bonus show on the spookiest night of the year.

“The producers asked if we would be interested in doing a midnight show and everyone immediately said ‘hell yes’,” she said. “We thought if there’s one show you can do at midnight on Halloween, it has to be this.”

Zanotto, who has performed on Broadway and in the West End in A Chorus Line and We Will Rock You, said the bonus show would include surprises for the audience.

“We hope everyone gets really dressed up, not just in Rocky Horror stuff, but in full Halloween gear,” she said.

“It’s such a joy, it’s kooky and

funny and it’s all the things you want from a night out at the theatre.”

The midnight showing will begin at 11.59pm on Sunday, October 31 at the Theatre Royal, with all tickets $75. Tickets are on sale 10am Thursday.
