MAKE IT CLEAR

WHAT a helpful question and answer session with Dr Alan Finkel (Mission Zero putting Australia first hot questions, cool answers, Mercury, October 11). His answer to the question, “So what is the solution?” was “In a word — electricity” and he then went on to describe the three steps to get to an “Electric Planet.” Notably, none of these steps involved fossil fuels or carbon capture and storage. Instead they involved a doubling and tripling of zero emissions electricity “stored in batteries and hydrogen.”

The way forward is doable and clear to Finkel. Can he make it clear to the PM and Energy Minister.
