Canes are still upbeat

Beams said despite the poor start to the season, she was confident things would turn around quickly.

“It’s pretty frustrating we don’t have any points from the first two games but a positive is we haven’t played our best cricket and we’ve been right in both games so we definitely feel we are getting close to our first win,” she said.

“Taking both games to the wire has given us great belief because when we start playing our best then we know we’re a well-balanced team and there’s still a great feeling in our group so we’re excited to get another opportunity on Tuesday.”
