SKIRTING THE ISSUE

-

THE requirement for a schoolgirl’s skirt to be long enough to touch the ground when she kneels, should not be a problem. It was the same at my school.

Likewise, a boy’s hair had to be short enough to stay clear of his shirt collar. Big deal.

Private schools have strict uniform standards, as they believe these reflect the discipline required to attain their high academic standards.

Surely parents would be aware of a school’s rules before enrolling their child. How long before schools are required to apologise for giving students homework?
