You can enter Tasmania from a low-risk area

You can enter Tasmania from a high-risk area and complete 14 days of hotel or home quarantine, depending on where you have travelled from.

Tasmanians and returning travellers can undertake risk-based home quarantine, depending on public health approval.

Home quarantini­ng requires full vaccinatio­n (16+ years), unless exempt, and a negative test 72 hours prior to travel.

Returning overseas travellers are required to undertake 14 days hotel quarantine, with potential home quarantine, based on risk.

DECEMBER 15 – 90% VACCINATIO­N RATE

You can enter Tasmania from anywhere in Australia.

Full vaccinatio­n (12+ years), unless exempt, and a negative test within 72hrs of travel.

Fully vaccinated Tasmanians are not required to provide a test, if their trip is less than 7 days.

People who do not meet these criteria will be subject to additional quarantine and testing.

Fully vaccinated overseas travellers with a negative test 72 hours prior to travel do not need to quarantine.
