THRILLS PAR FOR COURSE

Langer says T20 World Cup not done with nailbiting finishes

- JASPER BRUCE

AUSTRALIAN cricket coach Justin Langer is forecasting more thrilling finishes for the rest of the T20 World Cup.

The Aussies began their World Cup campaign with a tough win against South Africa in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Despite Australia only needing 119 runs to win, the match went down to the final over, when Marcus Stoinis hit two fours to get the side home.

Langer admitted that while he was on the edge of his seat, the tight, low-scoring nature of the contest wasn’t a surprise.
