What skills and lessons did your dad share with you that have been most meaningful?

So many it is difficult to distill them into a few. But essentially my dad was a very kind and compassionate man. He has a strong sense of fairness and justice. I draw on that regularly and when faced with a difficult issue, I often ask myself how he would have dealt with it.
