DRY HAIR DILEMMAS

-

Summer, we love you, but our hair does not. Overexposure to sun and chlorine, plus excessive hair washing and styling products, can leave your tresses feeling dry and dehydrated. Massaging olive oil into the hair and leaving overnight can add some shine, but a sulfate-free shampoo and hair conditioner is a must to avoid further stripping of natural oils. Try limiting washing your hair to once or twice a week, and keep temperatures low on your stylers. New products to try: The new, Australian-made, 100 per cent vegan Harper + Arlo Moisture Shampoo contains quince seed and olive squalane ($27.95). Oribe Power Drops Hydration & Anti-Pollution Booster ($86) is a highly concentrated treatment serum that creates a barrier against moisture loss and holds onto moisture in the hair. Meanwhile, Remington’s new Infinite Protect Hair Dryer ($99.95) has a sensor that ensures your hair never rises over a drying heat of 85°C.
