RETHINKING STRUCTURE

The new BAND Collection by Patricia Urquiola, consisting of club armchairs and dining chairs, challenges the classic and sophisticated lines of furniture design. The overall concept behind the collection is the breakdown of structure. Each object is designed using an ensemble of pieces. The structure of the pieces is made up of repetitive angular shapes that give centre stage to its raw materials, and can be formed entirely of aluminium or teak wood, and of Terrain Fabrics.
