Exotic, beguiling Budapest may be millennia-old but the market is not; decades of Communist rule prevented that. It’s a city you deep-dive into. Well, apart from the impenetrable currency and even more obscure language, but those are the things that make travel so much fun. Like Passau, Salzburg and Vienna earlier in the week, the Christmas market is only an entrée to tasting much more of the places we’re visiting.
