LIFESPANS SHORTENED BY COVID-19

-

A new study by the University of Southern California has found that due to COVID-19-related deaths and the long-term health and economic effects of the pandemic, life expectancy at birth for Americans will shorten by 1.13 years to 77.48 years. This is the largest single-year decline in life expectancy since the 1918 influenza pandemic. In Australia, average life expectancy is still increasing, from 83.35 in 2019 to 83.50 in 2020.
