2020 Holm Oak ‘The Protégé’ Pinot Noir $25

Bec (winemaker) and Tim (viticulturist) Duffy – with help from the winery pig, Pinot – make a terrific raft of wines from their vineyard in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley, including four pinots. In 2020, the budget-priced ‘The Protégé’ is lightly framed yet intense and very fine. Redcurrant, red cherry and mulberry flavours, silky smooth texture, and bright, lively acidity on a crisp, clean finish.
