A farewell, from the Editor
It is over two years now since I took over the reins of The Monthly Chronicle.
During that time I have written about unpopular developments the community has sometimes halted and sometimes not, NorthConnex with all its amalgamations, suicide and mental health issues, homelessness, elder abuse and domestic violence.
For every story that appeared to cast a shadow I have endeavoured to balance that with news that shines a light on the good and the positive in the wonderful shires of Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai, and the armies of people working to make these areas better, cleaner, greener, happier or more economically viable.
From local, state and Federal to community groups, sporting clubs, local radio, arts bodies, and those like HKWS or Hornsby Connect all making this part of Sydney a better place.
While I’ll be going on to pursue other interests in the media, I thank you for helping to make the paper what it now is. I ask that you continue to provide the Chronicle’s editorial team with news and ideas so the paper can carry on shining a light on what’s important to you.
All the best,
With Ministers Victor Dominello and Matt Kean at last week's Chamber of Commerce networking night
