Mt Wilga Pri­vate Hos­pi­tal cel­e­brates 65th an­niver­sary

On 7th Novem­ber Mt Wilga Pri­vate Hos­pi­tal will be cel­e­brat­ing its 65th an­niver­sary of a provider of re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion ser­vices to the peo­ple of Hornsby and sur­round­ing ar­eas. The hos­pi­tal open day will cel­e­brate Mt Wilga’s his­tory af­ter its es­tab­lish­ment in 1953 by the Com­mon­wealth Govern­ment to pro­vide re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion to men and women with per­ma­nent dis­abil­ity. To­day it con­tin­ues to build on its long and proud his­tory of restor­ing strength and pro­mot­ing re­cov­ery to those ex­pe­ri­enc­ing in­jury, ill­ness or dis­abil­ity.

Mt Wilga’s CEO Lorrie Mohsen said “From in­pa­tient re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion to our day ther­apy and com­mu­nity based ther­apy ser­vices, Mt Wilga has con­tin­ued to re­spond and grow to the ever chang­ing needs and lives of our pa­tients. With pri­vate hos­pi­tal in­sur­ance cov­er­ing the costs of many of the re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion ser­vices we pro­vide, it en­ables pa­tients to have ac­cess to the sup­ports they need, when they need it the most” The open day com­mences at 10am with a se­ries of tours and pre­sen­ta­tions run­ning through­out the day.
